This was a group project for my Publication Design class. I worked with 2 members, Katherine and Nicole, to write, illustrate, and design this children's book.
My role was to write the story which needed to be about accessibility in sports. After some research, I found out about how archery can still be done by people without an arm. I learned about many different types of tools but I was most intrigued by the release brace. I decided to revolve my story around this.
With Halloween around the corner, my group and I decided to use monster characters for the story. While Nicole and I were fleshing out the story, Katherine began working on the illustrations.
Once we got our first draft of illustrations, Nicole began on the page layouts and I worked on the pattern for the front and back inside covers. We put everything together and printed our book.
